Elvarhøi brings the down-to-earth stylings from the golden age of folk rock into modern folk metal.
They get their inspiration from a vast musical repertoar and is made up of musicians from backgrounds spanning both folk metal, extreme metal as well as traditional norwegian and celtic folk music.
The songs of Elvarhøi mirror the profane world in a language of faerie and adventure.
Elvarhøi was started in 2005, as a folk rock sextet playing medieval ballads and national romantic rock. Since then we've been through experimental black metal, atmospheric soundscapes, dark contemporary music and back again.
